Easy-Walking Europe is available in two versions, a longer Easy-Read Edition (444 pp., $19.95) and a Compact Edition that includes the same information with the same type size but in fewer pages (334 pp., $17.95). JourneyWoman has negotiated a special price of $12.95 for the compact edition in July. (That’s 28% off.) Both editions are available from Amazon.
Chapters provide concrete suggestions for trip planning, such as selecting a hotel and transportation with accessibility in mind, as well as general tips for easier travel and a helpful timeline for getting a trip off the ground.
The bulk of the book features specifics for nine European cities, including a detailed sample itinerary and sections on arrival, transportation, sightseeing passes, day trips, lodging, and other base cities, all with the goal of making a visit as physically easy as possible while still seeing more than the hotel.
Featured cities span Western Europe—Edinburgh, Dublin, London, Amsterdam, Paris, Madrid, Rome, Vienna, and Munich. Suggested itineraries don’t get much off the beaten path, but day trips into the surrounding countryside and to other cities allow for experiencing each country beyond the featured base location.
